The reception staff were welcoming and helpful with tips on local restaurants and places to visit. Sadly I didn’t make it to Saddle because it was very busy. Banana’s camp was OK for a place to sleep but not much of an ambience or backpacker’s vibe. The beds in Room 1 where I stayed are metal, creaky frames not as advertised, so I will book somewhere else in the future as, for me, this is an important factor when choosing a hostel.

The location of this hostel was ideal. However, myself and my friend were backpacking, and felt so uncomfortable during our stay here. The people staying here were almost all over 60, and seemed to be living there. I was sharing a bunk with an old woman who shook the bed and talked to herself all night- I ended up falling asleep at 6am. Hostel receptionist initially told me there was nothing he could do about it, and thats what being in a hostel is like! Wouldn’t recommend for young backpackers.

The location of the Hostel is convenient and the staff was friendly. The interior seems relatively new, but it is not very clean. The bunk beds are very shaky and there wasn't a locker for everyone in the room. Only the lower bunk beds had curtains. Some people didn't clean up after themselves and were watching videos on volume at night. The AC didn't seem to be working in my room and there was a damaged window which was patch up with some tape so no glass shards would fall down.
