Generator Venice is a design hotel-hostel located on Giudecca Island just one stop from Piazza San Marco.
Guests can choose from shared dorms to private rooms, offering something for everyone.
Complete with 24-hour reception, free wifi, cafe, bar and views of the Grand Canal.

Venice Access Fee 2026
• €5 if paid at least 4 days before arrival (including the fourth day)
• €10 if paid within the 3 days before arrival
(Required for day visitors on selected dates, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM)
Generator Venice guests:
You are exempt from payment but must generate a QR code on VeneziaUnica using code 9257, and enter:
Fondamenta Zitelle 86, 30133 Venice, plus your stay dates.
Please keep the digital voucher.

GROUPS
Any reservation of 10 people or more per night will be considered a group with different terms and conditions. Groups reservations can only be made through our reservations team, and Generator reserves the right to cancel it otherwise

Breakfast including hot drink, croissant, oj at 5.5€ per adult; Breakfast including hot drink, OJ, fresh fruit, fresh pastry, fresh sandwich ham&cheese/veggie, fruit, water, yogurt at 7€ per adult and from 3.5€ per child

PET
We would welcome a dog on property but only when staying in a private room, and subject to a € 25.00 fee per dog per Stay. Only Dog under 30lbs/14kg

Don't forget to bring a valid passport with you, this is mandatory for all non EU guests or valid identification documents for EU guests. As per government regulations, this needs to be the physical passport/ID, photos or photo copies will not be accepted.

Staff were friendly and helpful, felt a secure place. Location wasnt the most ideal but a boat trip took you to the main island and it was quieter which was nicer. The cafe/ restaurant was extashenat in terms of price. The room was very small, just crammed 12 beds in with little moving space and lockers were a faff to get to. Having only one bathroom for 12 people wasnt good especially when the shower was part of the bathroom and the other showers didnt lock.

The good: Nice-ish facilities, comfy beds, air con, social vibe The bad: Bathrooms were a little dirty mostly because of showers and sinks poorly designed so the floors were always wet. No kitchen in case you want to cook. The hostel is on Guidecca island so it takes 15-20 min by boat to get to the main islands.

This was a beautiful hostel in Giudecca, you have to take a water bus to get there. The busses come every 20 minutes so we didn’t find it too inconvenient as this island was much quieter when we wanted to wind down. The rooms were nicely air conditioned, and check in went very smoothly. The bar and social area were nice to have, and the bathrooms were clean. My only complaint is that the showers are in the open in your shared bathroom - you can’t be shy!

Hostelworld sanoo
