Generator Venice is a design hotel-hostel located on Giudecca Island just one stop from Piazza San Marco.
Guests can choose from shared dorms to private rooms, offering something for everyone.
Complete with 24-hour reception, free wifi, cafe, bar and views of the Grand Canal.

Venice Access Fee 2026
• €5 if paid at least 4 days before arrival (including the fourth day)
• €10 if paid within the 3 days before arrival
(Required for day visitors on selected dates, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM)

You are exempt from payment but must generate a QR code on VeneziaUnica using code 9257, and enter:

Please keep the digital voucher.

GROUPS
Any reservation of 10 people or more per night will be considered a group with different terms and conditions. Groups reservations can only be made through our reservations team, and Generator reserves the right to cancel it otherwise

Breakfast including hot drink, croissant, oj at 5.5€ per adult; Breakfast including hot drink, OJ, fresh fruit, fresh pastry, fresh sandwich ham&cheese/veggie, fruit, water, yogurt at 7€ per adult and from 3.5€ per child

PET
We would welcome a dog on property but only when staying in a private room, and subject to a € 25.00 fee per dog per Stay. Only Dog under 30lbs/14kg

Don't forget to bring a valid passport with you, this is mandatory for all non EU guests or valid identification documents for EU guests. As per government regulations, this needs to be the physical passport/ID, photos or photo copies will not be accepted.

Excellent selection of games and the location was great once on the island. The atmosphere was very nice and social with very good food at an affordable price. 24 hour staff too. The downsides would be that you had to pay for a boat to the island which was €9.50 and our bathroom had a very distinct unpleasant smell (like feet). Overall, the room was great and we would stay again

Nice common area. Rooms are clean with lockers and a socket at the bed. Luggage storage available, from 2-6€ depending on duration and size. Very few showers, with black mould in the joints.

Venice is famous for being easy on the eye, and the Generator is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a great view. Located just off the main island, you'll have the chance to take in Venice in all its glory from across the water (don't worry, the main island is just minutes away). The staff are great, always ready to go the extra mile if you need anything, and according to one past guest "the interiors are beautiful" so it's easy to forget that you're travelling on a budget.
