Amazing location for the ruins and great for wildlife. I saw howling monkeys in the trees on site and amazing birds. Hammocks were great and pool looked nice. Make sure you get your money out and do your shopping in palenque as the site is a few kilometres out. There were a couple of issues with one of the showers leaking and the fridge leaking water out into the kitchen but I reported them and they were getting sorted out.

Staff were very helpful and lovely. Especially the tour guide at the entrance. Food and drinks were a little expensive and usually there is free coffee for guests at a hostel but not here. It was more of a hotel family vibe rather than back packers. Still really amazing jungle experience with animals everywhere and close access to ruins and town using collectivos.

it might be good as a hotel, but it's definitely not a hostel.. we were supposed to be in a 4 bed dorm and we arrived in a 6 bed dorm (not matching the pictures of Hostelworld at all).We didn't know you had the possibility of taking a double bed in the dorm (less expensive) and we ended up (as a couple) in two single beds with a lot at double beds around us, and they really made the point about not using the doubles. The kitchen is small and you don'thave enough space to eat. We didn't enjoy it.
