Perfectly located, between the city center with all the shops and restaurants (5 minutes walk) and the Khan Palace (20 minutes walk). The host is super nice and funny. The breakfast is very nice too. The bathrooms facilities consisted of 1 toilet and 1 shower in the same bathroom on the same floor as the rooms, as well as 2 turkish toilets and 2 showers downstairs (in the garden).

The host at canal hostel is quite literally the kindest host I’ve ever had from a hostel. He was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Then after I left, I realized I had lost my favorite scarf! Not only did he check the room and all around the hostel, but when it wasn’t there he called the bus company and went down to the station to look through lost and found. And he found it!! He then arranged to have it delivered to me in Tbilisi! Staying here means you will be taken care of like family!

A okay hostel to spend one night in, a lot of renovation/construction on the property but surprisingly with AC. The owner is super kind and helpful to help you cross into Georgia by land. We found likeminded traveler to split a taxi which was very convenient and affordable
