I had a great time staying at Abbey-Court. The night security staff, Sam, was extremely nice and helped my friends and I with numerous things including recommendations on where to eat, go out, what to see, and what the non-tourists spots are. The staff at Abbey-Court are awesome!

The 24 hour reception allowed for flexible check-in and allowed me to see a concert late at night. A prime location it is truly in the heart of Dublin with a big bus stop right outside your door!

Really nice, clean hostel right on the River Liffey and a 10 minute walk to Trinity College, Henry Street, the Temple Bar area, and shopping on Grafton Street (basically it's right in the middle of everything.) Hostel staff are friendly and helpful and made me feel at home. The beds all have their own curtains and plug ins, which is really nice. The free breakfast in the morning had a lot of options. I would stay here again!

I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm. The beds are typical size for a hostel but came with a privacy curtain, personal reading light and outlets. The room gets a bit warm at night but the windows open. The hostel is in a great location, right next door to Celtic Nights at the Arlington Hotel, and a pub that has live music most nights. The staff were knowledgeable about the area and very helpful with any questions. Hostel provides a nice free breakfast spread beyond the typical coffee/tea and toast.

Sam (security) is especially friendly and helpful, and makes this hostel feel like a fun, safe place to stay. It is centrally located and really cute exterior! I was happy to stay here and liked the staff and their recommendations.

Great location! The inside was confusing and hard to navigate but the murals covering the walls were interesting and fun. Front desk staff could have been friendlier but they were helpful. Sam, the security guard, was especially helpful to my friend group as we were here the night of the US travel ban and were panicking how to get home. Sam's help was definitely the highlight of the hostel

At 4am on Friday night the fire alarm was set off for over an hour, after no staff came to inform guests what to do/if there was a fire and we would need to evacuate, we ended up having to go for 4 flights of stairs to ask what was happening, to be told it had been accidentally set off. On Saturday morning there was no hot water either and the staff said this was due to the fire alarm yet hadn’t communicated this to us. When we checked in the staff were rude and suggested we hadn’t book right.

Abbey Court has an amazing location and a cool hammock room but, other things were lacking. A couple areas of the hostel were very untidy and smelly. Some (not all) of the reception staff acted a little rude and inpatient. Lastly, I was very confused that there was a large group of students on a school field trip staying and hanging out at the hostel. Having a group of loud 13-15 year olds at an 18+ hostel ruined the vibe a bit. I was relieved that I only booked one night and promptly left.

A travel ban cut my trip short. Many things listed in the hostel were cancelled. I booked 6 nights, but was unable to arrive the first night due to an airline issue (COVID related) I called the hostel to confirm my reservation. I was told to pay for the night I missed and all nights or they would cancel. Given global issues, combined with the fact I couldn’t stay the dates I booked, it would’ve been nice to have only been charged the dates I stayed. $377 for only 2 nights in a shared room 👎🏼

Very bad service - nearly all staff were extremely unhelpful and refused to give any suggestions on what to do for the weekend. Showers were freezing, the fire alarm tripped at 4am in the morning and went off for an hour. All in all I would not recommend this place at all.
