Hostelworld says

Ashfield House is in the very centre of Dublin, between Trinity College and O'Connell St. Our visitors have said this 'excellent location' makes the hostel a 'very handy little place to crash after a night in Temple Bar'. This 'perfect home away from home' has 'friendly and helpful' staff who 'go out of their way' to help, plus free luggage storage, a 'delicious and filling' breakfast and an ''eat me I'm free' cabinet' in the kitchen. We like their daily walking tours of Dublin.

I switched to this hostel just to get another new experience. I honestly couldn’t fault the place if i tried. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly and the rooms are great, can’t go wrong with an en-suite bathroom really. Great place.

Late night guests sharing my room were noisy---talking to each other with little regard for me and another guest who were sleeping. Also, the lunge area was loud, the desk attendent played music really loud like we were in a night club.

Great stay here! Was given some tips on what to do and see and a map when I arrived. Stayed in a four bed female room. Had a bathroom and shower in the room. Tight space for a bigger girl and the floor is pretty slippery! Didn’t check out anything with the facility. My roommates were pretty quiet and respectful. Great location! Temple Bar, Trinity College, and much more. Even the meeting point for all of my day trips pick up area was close.

It's a good hostel, with a good breakfast and the facilities above de beds (led light, USB socket ....) are the best think I have seen in a Hostel around the Europe. Maybe the personal at reception could be a more friendly, but it isn't that they are bad or grumpys and the hour to check-out a bit more late, maybe 1pm.

I really liked my stay in the 4-bed female room but the one thing bothered me and that was, that in the whole room there weren't any other sockets than the one on the head of the beds. This showed to be a problem for all of the roommates I had during my stay. But besides that all of the facilities are very clean and the location is very good.

I enjoyed my stay, I only needed a place to crash at night, so the dark room (all the curtains had been drawn by other guests sleeping off jet lag) didn’t bother me.

Breakfast is bread with butter and fake apple juice. Poor cleaning. No ventilation on a 6 ppl room (seriously, locked window). Avoid this place.

Ashfield Hostel says

This place has the perfect combination of location and comfort, opposite Trinity College but in a quieter street. We cater to all ages - backpackers, school and university groups, families, couples, etc. We've got a free walking tour every morning, a pub crawl from the hostel every evening and free DVDs/games. The building has an elevator and our fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, good-looking staff are happy to help anyone who needs assistance. They also have tons of recommendations; personally, I usually tell guests they should visit the Book of Kells at Trinity College and Library. Lynda, General Manager
