    Superb

I stayed a few times there: at the beginning of September 2019 and in October. Great hostel. Perhaps one of the best in Dublin and in Ireland. Why? 1. Lovely staff and parking space outside in the street. 2. Great kitchen where you can cook your own things. Free tea and coffee al day round. 3. Good showers/toilets. 4. Rooms superclean and good beds. 5. Storage room to leave your things. And one last thing I really appreciate - missing in many hostels with several floors - is a lift !!!

I had a great stay in Dublin at Garden Backpackers. The staff were very helpful on where and what to do in the city. I had a travel delay arriving and they were very good about checking me in after midnight and making sure I was all settled and safe!! This was very comforting being so tired from travel and in a new city. The cleaning crew were constantly busy keeping all the space tidy and welcoming. I would definitely return.

This is an excellent hostel that books up quickly, so make sure that you make reservations well in advance because you can't just show up and expect them to have a bed for you. The location in the Liberties is a bit out of the way (check Google maps), but the upside of that is that the neighborhood is quiet unless the kids in the neighborhood decide to start shooting off fireworks, as they did when I was there in mid-October.

Great place, very clean, the breakfast was great but they only have instant coffee, the building itself is very nice and has a nice view, the location is close enough to the centre that you can walk and far enough so you don't get the noise, the staff is super nice.

Best showers in any hostel I've ever been in. Hot water, good pressure, and all within the guest's control. Just wish there were a little shelf for my toiletries, but that seems to be a universal lack even in homes in Ireland. Very clean hostel, very quiet. Safe neighborhood. Beds are comfy and rooms relatively spacious, but the cage lockers under the bunks are a bit worse for wear (not all locks will work anymore) and wheels or furniture felts would help reduce noise.

    Fabulous

Everything fine (almost). The only "strange" thing was that when somebody rang the bell at the outer door(?) an electronic sound came up on devices on *all the floors*, audible in the (sleeping) rooms, even at 1 o'clock in the night.

    Fabulous

Overall we had a lovely stay. It’s a little smaller than the pictures appear but I don’t mind that at all. My only complaint is the toilet in the men’s room was broken and ran constantly, this would not have bothered me at all except it was right next to our room and I could hear it all night. The location is a little hard to find but once I learned my way around, it’s easily located near transit and has plenty in walking distance. It was a nice quiet stay, everyone was helpful and respectful.

Pros. It’s located on a quite residential area. About 10min walk to the center. I liked the breakfast too. Cons The bed makes noises all the time with your little movements. The mattress sag in the middle. You could feel the bottom of the bed..

I only stayed here one night, so take my review with a grain of salt. The location isn't the most convenient, but the hostel is nice and clean, with helpful staff. Bring earplugs as there's quite a bit of seagull/street noise.

I was expecting way more with the high ratings. The front desk was not helpful, didnt seem interested in helping provide recs and werent friendly. They also didn't clean the bathroom when they were informed the toilet paper was out. They made excuses that a new cleaning person just started and that that person doesn't know how to clean. It's not a social environment, if that's what you're looking for. It says there are lockers but instead it's these cages that you can reach into even when locked
