2 days and 1 night and couldn’t have had it better. Great location, great city, fantastic rooftop bar, drinking games and happy hour in the evenings etc. The travel desk is where they put the cherry on the cake. They sat down with me for an hour helping me plan my trip up to the north recommending activities, routes, new places to go, and we’re never trying to force me to buy anything through them! All were amazing but special thanks to Charlie, Rob and Rory. Thank you so much. VBH 4 life xxx

Booked 4 nights... stayed 8. That should say enough. If you’re on the fence, stop screwing around and book this hostel. You won’t stay at another hostel in Vietnam. I guarantee it.

Clean, centrally located and secure, VBH is a good spot to stay in HCM. Beds weren’t too hard at all and the atmosphere is good.

In general stay was great. Best karaoke night I've had throughout Vietnam. BUT the beds are terrible!!! The mattresses are extremely uncomfortable, reminded me of my army days, and that is not a good thing. The bunks themselves creak hideously. Also don't book tours through the hostel, literally wanted double the price. Staff were helpful :) nice 9th floor social area.

    Very Good

Soon as we arrived there was no toilet paper in the toilets, went down to reception to ask for it to be sorted. Took a while, and saw other people from my floor go and ask aswell, then toilet paper only got put in one cubicle! Hostel had ran out of towels as well! Saw a tour advertised on the wall and asked about it and they said they weren’t running it anymore, why leave the poster up? Beds were very rickety, every time the person on the top bunk moved the whole bunk bed would move.

Beds were very worn down, could feel every spring and wasn’t comfy...but I did return and even was put in the same bed and looks like they’d changed them...?! Food was great up ok the rooftop bar..! Showers and bathrooms are in desperate need of a cheeky refurb...they’re not the greatest. Rooms are very very standard but you pay as well for the VBH atmosphere which was great up on the rooftop bar. Staff were fabulous and bar crawl was fun!

Nice breakfast, location, rooftop bar and staff. Great free walking tour too. Other tours are very expensive compared to outside tour agencies of a similar standard. The toilets and showers are filthy, even though this hostel has opened recently it is very dated. There wasn’t much of an atmosphere but it is low season.

Worst vbh I've stayed in. They kept bringing males into out female dorm. They over charge you basically double the price for any experiences you want to do, so head to an outside tourist office. We got locked in our room so had to sleep with the door open and then in the morning they just removed the lock. Food is average. Staff arent very welcoming and could never understand anything. If you can, stay elsewhere
