Here at Home Youth Hostel in the Old Town of Valencia, you can enjoy all the social aspects of dorm rooms, but without the bunk beds. That’s right – all of our dorms have their own single beds, so there's no need for climbing in the middle of the night! When you're not up in your dorm, you can get to know your fellow travellers with a free 'family dinner' and sangria night downstairs, or rest up in our comfy common room before your next big day trip.

We're directly opposite La Lonja de la Seda, one of the most popular sights in the city, as well as being just a few metres away from Mercado Central. Valencia Nord train station is a 10-minute walk, and Joaquín Sorolla station is 25 minutes by foot, or a short bus ride. To get to the hostel from Valencia Airport, catch the metro to Xàtiva station and walk for 10 minutes. If you're exploring the Old Town in search of somewhere to eat a traditional paella, just remember – the locals don't believe in eating paella after dark!

Rooms and Dorms

Our rooms have free Wi-Fi and free linen, and are covered in original street-art style murals, matching the traditional Valencian tiles on the floor. You can choose from a private twin room or small dorms that are either mixed or female-only. All of the rooms have storage lockers and plug sockets, and some come with wooden doors that open out onto the street so you can enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of Spanish life outside.

Extras and activities

We have a fully equipped kitchen where you can try your hand at tasty tapas dishes, or store your goodies from the fresh produce market. Our common room has soft leather sofas you can sink into while catching up on some local TV – perfect for practising your Spanish! Alternatively, ask our reception team about joining a walking tour, pub crawl or clubbing night.

Very nice and cozy place. I met some really cool people there as well. Great location and great hospitality from the staff. The nightly meal is great as well if you are hungry and do not feel like going out. I would stay there again.

I only stayed here for 1 night for a flight the next day but I had a good time and met some nice people. The facilities are quite average, but clean. The best part is that you have your own non-bunk single bed & the rooms are quite spacious. The free family dinner was nice but it can get pretty crowded so be early or wait it out. The breakfast in the morning is ok for €2.50. We wanted to do the pubcrawl but the organizer was late or didnt show up so went out on our own. Location is very central.

The Home Hostel offers not only some of the best hospitality and service we have seen, but also some of the most rustic and laid back atmosphere we have seen during the many hostels in Europe. Would highly recommend this hostel for both atmosphere, quality and overall experience while in Valencia! Sam and Taylor!

Great hostel. Secure access to the building and your room with swipe card. Lockers with keys in the room, big enough for your entire bag. Comfortable beds, and no bunk beds! Free dinner each night was a bonus. Breakfast looked pretty average and I rather go find something at the market across the road for 1-2 euro. Bathrooms were classic hostel style, but we're generally clean. Because of the layout, noise from the common area can be heard in rooms, but after midnight people were quiet.

One of the better hostels I have stayed at worldwide. Atmosphere was just right, especially for a solo traveller. Fun but not completely wild. I especially liked having my own bed rather than a bunk. Bathrooms were decent but shared (no en suites). Location was right in the middle of the action and the staff were very helpful with some strange requests I had.

I stayed here for two nights in a 4-person female dorm and it was great! The staff was really friendly, they gave me a warm welcome and were always willing to help. The room was spacious and there were bunkbeds! The bathrooms and toilets were clean and they have a nice chilling room with a kitchen, the kitchen is a little bit small though, but it was fine! It was a little bit noisy during the day and the evening, so bring earplugs. But I would stay here again!

The shared floor bathrooms are can be tough with the layout of the shower stall, but a good free dinner and kind staff. Great location.
