Here at Home Youth Hostel in the Old Town of Valencia, you can enjoy all the social aspects of dorm rooms, but without the bunk beds. That’s right – all of our dorms have their own single beds, so there's no need for climbing in the middle of the night! When you're not up in your dorm, you can get to know your fellow travellers with a free 'family dinner' and sangria night downstairs, or rest up in our comfy common room before your next big day trip.

We're directly opposite La Lonja de la Seda, one of the most popular sights in the city, as well as being just a few metres away from Mercado Central. Valencia Nord train station is a 10-minute walk, and Joaquín Sorolla station is 25 minutes by foot, or a short bus ride. To get to the hostel from Valencia Airport, catch the metro to Xàtiva station and walk for 10 minutes. If you're exploring the Old Town in search of somewhere to eat a traditional paella, just remember – the locals don't believe in eating paella after dark!

Rooms and Dorms

Our rooms have free Wi-Fi and free linen, and are covered in original street-art style murals, matching the traditional Valencian tiles on the floor. You can choose from a private twin room or small dorms that are either mixed or female-only. All of the rooms have storage lockers and plug sockets, and some come with wooden doors that open out onto the street so you can enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of Spanish life outside.

Extras and activities

We have a fully equipped kitchen where you can try your hand at tasty tapas dishes, or store your goodies from the fresh produce market. Our common room has soft leather sofas you can sink into while catching up on some local TV – perfect for practising your Spanish! Alternatively, ask our reception team about joining a walking tour, pub crawl or clubbing night.

Amazing hostel! There's no bunk beds, great location, clean and it's so easy to meet people. I would recommend taking one of the free walking tours (Tour me out Valencia), nice way to learn more about the city and the guides are super friendly and link up with all the hostels.

Nothing to complain about this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they let me store my bag hours before the check in, I was given a lot of very useful information about Valencia that made my short stay in the city way more enjoyable.

Very good location. Nice and welcoming staff. One of not many hostels in the world that has normal beds in dorms, not two story bed ! Hostel provides some activities during the day which are great to meet other ppl: Usually hostel has free walking tour at 10:00 and 15:30 Free dinner at 20:00 And pub crawl that starts around 22:00 What I found not so great: They don't have many games in the Hostel Living room for socializing ... All in all very good Hostel!

This was our first time staying in a hostel, Home Youth Hostel really set the bar really high future expectations. The free dinners are a great way to meet people and the 24/7 staff ensure your ever need and want is met. I would recommend this hostel for the homely feeling, central city location and the overall atmosphere. Only slight negative was key cards are prone to malfunction and staff help you out immediately.

Great hostel in a great location! Very nice family dinners every night and very easy to meet people as well. Right across the street from the BEAUTIFUL central market that you can walk around in for hours. great The only thing is that there is very little privacy in the rooms as all the beds are on the same level and there are no dividing curtains or anything.

Pros: best location, great interior design Cons: cleanliness - my quilt cover had blood stain on it, i didn’t use the quilt and only stayed for a night so didn’t bother to tell the staff to change it. No vibe.
