We put on parties every night so you can easily meet like-minded people, and there's free Wi-Fi for Skyping your friends and family back home. When hunger strikes, make for the kitchen, then eat al-fresco on the tables in our leafy backyard. You'll find a barbecue out here too for grilling up feasts while basking in the South of France's sunshine. We've also got lively indoor common areas with cable TV for those occasional days when it does rain.

Location

We're in the city centre, a couple of minutes away by foot from the main train station, Gare de Nice Ville. Turn left, then stroll 100 metres and we'll be on the street's right side. From Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, take bus 23 or 99 to the train station and you'll be with us in less than an hour. We're under a 20-minute walk from Nice's main sights, too, from the pretty Place Masséna Square to the historical Old Town.

You can choose between twin, double, triple or quad private rooms and mixed or female-only dorms – with linen included! There's air con and an elevator to make life even easier. You'll have your own locker and light, plus we'll hand you a free towel when you check in. Most of our rooms and dorms are en-suite to keep things simple.

The location of Hostel Baccarat cannot be more ideal. You are two minutes walk from Nice main train station, surrounded by loads of cafes and restaurants. You are on the top of Avenue of Jean-Médecin, which is the shopping heart of Nice. Staff are super friendly and always happy to help with tips and directions. The place is manned 24 hours which makes it absolutely safe for guests. There is also a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals and a big fridge to store your food.

The staff was more than lovely and they treated me with respect. I was in 3 different hostels in my stay at nice, I can say this is the best one in relation to: location-price-services. Plus it's very cozy

What made my stay very good was the staff! Lucia, Kharim (sorry, man, I'm not so sure about the spelling of your name, hahaha) and other staff members there were great and very kind to me. They were easy to talk to and made me feel at home. The hostel is a low cost one, so it's a simple place, but it's well located and the facilities are alright - I hope they had more electricity plugs in the bedrooms, though. I don't think there's something better in Nice when it comes to value for money.

We booked for two beds in the mixed dorm but they put us in a couple's room with a double bed (offered a choice between twin and double but the dorm room on the booking sheet was never mentioned) and I'm not sure if this is because they seem to have a rule about students only in the dorm rooms. Probably should have been made clear beforehand because other people might not adapt to being in separate roo.s as easily. A lot of hairs and stains on the mattress and the shower was tiny and unlit.

Nice staff and clean beds with fresh towels, but that's about it... Limited kitchen facilities, pretty dirty too. Bathroom was very basic and they didn't even offer soap(weird in these corona times). Air-conditioning didn't work properly in our room and they also didn't do anything about it when we told them. 3/6 'lockers' you got to put your valuables in underneath the beds was only working as the other were broken. And still they put up signs that they're not responsible for sheft.

Firstly, the checkin time was mentioned as 12 but I was let in only at 1pm so basically I had wait for an hour at the reception. Secondly, Even if you’re paying 100€ there is a fee to use card (Wonder who keep so much cash these days). The bed was terribly uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep well all night. Also there was no blanket provided and I slept right next to the terrible AC which made so much noise. Overall, Unless go homeless, I wouldn’t suggest this hostel!!
