Awarded the Hoscar for the most popular hostel in Nice in 2026, Antares Hostel is perfectly located in the city center, right across the street from the main train station (Gare de Nice Ville) and 10min walk to the beach. This makes it very easy for you to find us, to visit Nice and to travel to the surrounding famous cities, as Cannes and Monaco. The express tram T 2 to the airport stops in city center 10mn walk from the hostel, so you can also catch your flight without worrying too much.

For your comfort, all our dorms have air conditioning and private bathroom, cages to keep your luggage locked, bed linen and towels are included and there is a daily cleaning service. We offer access to a fully equipped kitchen and free WI-FI throughout the hostel. . There is also a court-yard where you can enjoy your coffee or your meal and socialize with other travelers.

During the summer we organize parties very frequently and we like to offer our guests some French treats.

In order to keep everybody happy and safe, we have few rules that we would like our guests to respect:
Age restriction applied.
* There is an age limit of 40 for the dorms, unless you are with a group or a family. Otherwise, we have the right to cancel you booking.
* The city tax is not included, you will have to pay upon arrival 1 €/per person/per night.
* The check-in starts at 3 PM .
The check-out is until 10AM. The check in starts at: 3 PM
* Curfew from 4AM to 6AM. .
* Non-smoking.
* Cancellation policy: 2 days before arrival

Stayed for two nights. They only accept cash, which was never stated on the booking. We had to walk to the train station to find an ATM, which was super frustrating after a long day of travel. They also never asks for my friends ID, just mine because I made the reservation. Pretty terrible security as well, the front door is always open and the entire facility is accessible to anyone. It’s in a decent location, they have a kitchen, and the common areas are nice. Very expensive for what it was.

The location is good, but that’s the only upside. Otherwise, it’s too expensive for what you get. There is zero social culture and there are better hostels in Nice. They sent out an email on the day of check in, informing everyone that the site does not have a working machine so everyone must pay in cash on arrival. This is not very clear when booking and based on other reviews from the past few years, this is not temporary and they just want cash, lol. Also they did not BCC ppl on the email,

The Antares Hostel is perfect for anyone looking for comfort on a budget. It's clean, cosy and has all the modern conveniences a traveller could need. This includes full kitchen facilities, free and fast Wi-Fi, and plenty of computers for those who don't have their own. The property is also well known for its friendly staff. Situated right in the middle of Nice, it's near both the beach and the old town, making it the perfect base to see the city from. It's right opposite the train station too, so no danger of getting lost on the way!
