What a magnificent place to stay. So many families staying. Incredible location, i could see the ocean from my bedroom window. And I could always find a car park. Bit tricky on week days.. Bravo to the people who run this place.

Luxurious historical building. Feels like a museum and not a rundown backpackers shack. By far the best hostel I ever been to.

Nice building with gorgeous common hall. Staff friendly. Guests a mixed bag of youngsters and some scruffy older people. Therefore, it's not so well suited for (solo) travellers 30+. Rooms need some renovation and tlc, though. Only two lockers for 5 beds were provided.

Great location, not a whole lot going on at the moment in regards to activities with covid. But friendly staff. Could possibly invest in some new pillows, was quite yellow drool stained. My private room, had an old smell but the fan helped a bit.

The place is cheap as it is a hostel. My room for the most part was relatively clean. The fans are not very good though. They should do something about them. The hostel is situated in a very prominent area. Restaurants, cafes and the beach is quite close by.

Strange place, mostly elderly occupants, absolutely no atmosphere, feels like an old peoples home, the only noise is people coughing. Good facilities and clean.

One of the most basic yha I have stayed. Rooms are muggy with mould smell and there's no aircon. Totally inadequate for the warmer months. Decent kitchen and big lounge area. Toilets old and quite basic. Could do with a big revamp.

Last visited 22 years ago - needs upgrade ! Bed linen crumpled and hairy ! Didn’t look changed! Stained pillow - very off putting. Dog (?managers) witnessed piddling in reception area on carpet and not cleaned up … beaten up leather sofas looked worn and dirty … noisy, someone/thing screaming a lot outside in opposite building and some building works outside that day …
