Seadragon Team
Seadragon Backpackers is a small hostel with just six rooms. Set in a Regency building with tons of character and quirky corners we pride ourselves on offering a clean, well run hostel for those who visit our wonderful, vibrant city.
Our six rooms consist of 1 double room, 3 four bed mixed dorms, 1 Dedicated Female Only Dormof Four Beds and 1 mixed twin room. We have new wooden bunk beds (no squeaky metal here!) and they all have incredibly comfortable memory foam mattresses and great pillows.
Our basement kitchen was voted by Lonely Planet as ‘Best Hostel Kitchen’ and is open all day and night. We have a huge fridge freezer, space to sit, eat and socialise with other guests, pots, pans and everything you need to cook – just as if you were at home and everything is kept clean at all times.
Our cozy lounge is also open all day and night and there you will find television, games, book swap and comfy sofas.

We provide linen and will make up the bed ready for your arrival, free towels on request, free WIFI throughout the building. We also include breakfast of eggs, cereals, breads, jams and tea and coffee. Tea and coffee is available all day, breakfast from 07:30 to 10.30.

Our checkout time is 10:00 and check in time is from 4pm to 7pm
We are a ten minute walk from the city centre and just 30 seconds from the seafront. Right around the corner from us you will find 24 hour supermarkets and convenience stores as well as late night food places and plenty of awesome pubs. Brighton train and bus stations are also nearby.
Other hostels in Brighton and Hove may be a few pounds cheaper but with us we promise our guests that there are no hidden costs and our priority is you! View House Rules

Perfect experience! Breakfast available every morning, rooms were spotless, wonderful location. The size of the hostel makes for a really great intimate stay.

Very cosy, nice place! The staff are super lovely and have good tips for getting around Brighton easily. Also really clean and an easy walk into the main town. :)

Really friendly, homely vibe. Rooms were clean, good layout and plenty of facilities. This hostel is also in a great location - 2 minutes from the sea, a co-op opposite and a 10-15 mins to the Lanes. I would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights here in this excellent little hostel, which feels more like a guesthouse. The manager was very helpful & friendly, and the free breakfast was perfect :) The only thing I would add is lockers in the rooms.

Really enjoyed my stay..Arrived around 4pm, made to feel very welcome. Shown around, small, but nice and clean, with a homely atmosphere. There was a small problem sorted out efficiently by the Seadragon team, and a special thanks to John, who was all over it like a rash. I hasten to add the problem was outsde the control of the Seadragon hostel..What is a definite, when i'm in Brighton again, first port of call for lodgings and base....Seadragon.....Brian

I really really enjoyed my stay here! The rooms were very cute and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean and very pleasant to use. The only thing that could be improved upon would be to add some lockers in the rooms and perhaps some individual lights/outlets next to the beds. Irregardless, I would highly recommend staying here. :)

    Fabulous

Small building but well compensated with not too many people able to stay at once. Bathrooms can get a little bit cramped if there's a full house but the bathrooms themselves were very well stocked and maintained. Staff were friendly. Located a bit of a walk away from the main tourist attractions but definitely still in walking distance of the main facilities and attractions of the city.

    Good

Basically my main issue was with the booking of the bed. It was advertised as an individual bed in a 2 person dorm. For me with a problematic knee that told me that this room would have 2 separate beds in and not be bunks. I arrived and was told that I would be on the top bunk meaning I would have to suffer getting up and down with my knee. I explained to the guy that it said individual bed and he said that's what individual meant. It doesn't mean that at all. Individual means separate.

    Good

There's not much choice when it comes to hostels in Brighton.. so we decided on this one. A lot of people staying in this hostel were long term residents in there later years of life 40+ so atmosphere wasn't great. Security wasn't great either - we came back to our room a couple of times and the other people staying in the room had not properly shut the door. Showers were terrible - either freezing cold or burning hot. However we did enjoy the free breakfast.
