Only there for a night but it was perfect for what I needed. The staff were friendly and the rooms had great amenities with the plugs and curtains, etc. Belushi’s bar was great and the deals we got for staying at the hostel were fantastic, really nice relaxing there listening to live music and enjoying the atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

    Fabulous

Great security and paid luggage storage facilities, but the in-room lockers are definitely on the small side. The room itself was also incredibly small, with almost no room to manoeuvre even when empty, let alone when the room was full. Bathroom was clean but had a distinctly unpleasant smell. Beds were comfortable and had curtains for privacy as well as personal charging ports which was convenient, but the triple bunk made it impossible to sit up, and the pillow was incredibly thin.

It was a great stay, bathroom was clean, great location, nice staff. The free walking tour from the hostel was helpful. Chill out area has to be renovated, proper kitchen area has to be there.

    Fabulous

Been here 3 times already. Great location, clean, friendly, elevator etc. However, this time the 6 bed room I was in had 2 x 3 tier bunks which were really difficult and dangerous to get into, (I am fit, slim) no full ladder s you have to be a monkey to get to top one. Don't know how the top one is serviced, they must have a portable ladder they take around. So this is why it is cheaper here than other Edinburgh hostels, because they can get 50% more people in the rooms. Everything else great!

    Very Good

It's in the center and easy to reach. It has a bed and showers so all you need and you cannot expect a high standard. I did not like the showers and toilets since you could not really close the front door and you had no privacy to get changed. It was good for 2 nights

Overall pretty good stay and great staff but the rooms were quite small and not great facilities if you want to cook. You also have to pay to hold your luggage which we thought was a bit annoying as majority of hostels hold your bags for free.

    Good

Hostel is well situated behind central rail station. Room I was in was a converted roof with two bunk beds and two single beds. On suite bathroom that was tiny and the hot water abysmal. Not too grimmy thankfully. The bedding was clean and renewed after each visitor or if staying more than a day you can request regular changing at reception. Cutting trip short I was refunded £10 instead of £17 for friday and saturday. Rip off. The locks sold at reception £$ are crap. OK but better hostels nearby

Needs some serious maintenance. Door on the bathroom in my dorm had no lock, very odd especially for a mixed dorm. Under bed locker wheels were broken so it just drug across the floor. The lockers in the luggage room were malfunctioning and timed out before they should have. Beds were not the best and bottom bunk had abnormally low head room. Could be a good hostile just doesn't seem to be well cared for.
