Edinburgh Central offers 5 star VisitScotland accredited hostel accommodation in the heart of the city, close to major transport links and ideally positioned for exploring Scotland's capital.

Various room types are available from singles and family rooms to dorms with individual lockers. all rooms are ensuite.

Relax in the hostel’s welcoming vibrant spaces - perfect for eating, drinking and socialising. Enjoy the delicious range of cakes, snack and drink offered in the café bar which is open daily from 8am to 10pm. If you prefer to self-cater, there’s the option of a small but well-equipped guest kitchen (not suitable for groups). Or, if you’re looking for a little more privacy, there is a room available to hire for functions, meetings and special events.

WiFi is free for all guests and other amenities include a laundry, a secure bike store and luggage storage for anyone arriving early and eager to head off right away to explore the city!

The hostel is just ten minutes on foot from Waverley railway station, the bus station and close to York Place tram stop. Parking near Edinburgh Central is possible, with on-street Pay & Display spaces in the surrounding area and at nearby at Q-Park, Greenside Row (contact the hostel directly for more information).

My daughter and I had an overnight stay. Things worked well for us, at the hostel. Just across the road from the hostel are the main bus stops, but likewise 5-10 minute walk you are back up at St James Quarter. Staff were lovely and friendly, food at breakfast was plentiful.... It was exactly what we needed....

location is brilliant..less than 15 mins walk from Waverley train station ..many bus and even tram options..smiley helpful kind and efficient young staff.the ground floor is such a lovely place to hang out with a 0700-2200 cafe and bar plus local info and nice postcards on sale. We loved the full Scottish breakfast which will keep you going all day. self catering kitchen and dining area kept clean also laundry facilities. Our Triple en suite room good but overlooked street noisy at weekends
