Cool spot, good people, probably a good bargain (cuz everything’s kind of expensive around here!) if you maximize use of the amenities. I just needed a place to crash after flying in from the US and was able to sleep fairly comfortably for the night. If you’re high maintenance, you might not want to book here. The surrounding community has kind of a San Diego/Orange County (California) beaches vibe, which I really liked for spending a relaxed weekend.

This is one of the strangest hostels I’ve stayed in so far. Reception opens at random times, there was always a line. Also, you have to leave a 100$ bond for the key which I thought was a bit excessive for a one night stay. To be fair, I did get my money back swiftly though. And perhaps strangest of all, they overbooked the hostel so that the TV room next to reception turned into an impromptu room. I wasn’t the only one in that case, they were even long-term stays in there. They’re friendly tho

Great location literally 2 minutes from bondi. However I’ve never been in a messier hostel, the bed I was assigned was literally blocked by someone’s belongings, stuff everywhere in the rooms, shoes, clothes, bags, suitcases. You can hardly move. The staff were helpful and friendly but seemed to be taking more of a parenting role with some of the guests? I’ve seen this in other hostels and honestly it’s more embarrassing for the guests than the staff. But just not great vibes and not sociable.
