About

Ahoy there mateys!

Let me tell you about the Pirate Backpackers, first of all it's a Travellers House, not a Hostel, a hidden gem in the heart of Faro, Portugal. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a unique experience. The decor and furniture are urban and alternative, with a vibe that just screams good energy.

One thing that sets Pirate Backpackers apart from other hostels is the size. They only host 5 travellers, which creates a tight-knit community feel. And despite not being a party house, the atmosphere is still very social. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated this - it made it easy to meet new people and make friends.

What I loved most about Pirate Backpackers was the sense of authenticity. It's not a sterile hostel owned by a big corporation - it's a humble independent business run by real people. And as good pirates, they accept everyone the way they are.

The location is another big plus. While it's not right on the beach, it's in a prime spot in the city center. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, and the bus, ferry, and train are all nearby.

If you're looking for a hostel with character and charm, Pirate Backpackers is the place to be. I highly recommend it to any fellow travellers passing through Faro. Arrr!

Super lovely hostel with a very welcoming and friendly host and nice amenities! Only advice is that Faro city center is quite small so even though this is close it’s a bit deserted at night; this could also work in your favour cuz it’s peaceful and quiet, but just something to keep in mind for solo female travellers, not a downside! Overall 100% recommend!
