Summary of traveller reviews

Dreamsea Surf Camp Costa Rica in Tamarindo is a vibrant place, great for meeting people and enjoying social activities. Many guests appreciate the welcoming community and organised events. However, some recent reviews mention it's quite far from the beach and can be pricey if you're not a volunteer.

Dream Sea was amazing!! I wish I had booked here longer because the community was so welcoming and the vibes were vibrant. The events that they organize are so much fun and yoga every morning was in such an amazing location. Loved every minute of it.

Strongly discourage staying if 25 or older. Mistakenly did not read other reviews. This place is beautiful but should be advertised for what it is: a party/drinking camp for 18-22 year-olds. The setting is nice, but not serene and relaxing outside of early morning and during the day when most people are at the beach. dynamic between “guests” and “volunteers” can be a little odd too. There were about 40 or more volunteers from worldPackers and a handful of people who are full paying guests.

Had a good time at the hostel but I think it’s overpriced if you’re not a volunteer. Very good for meeting people and they organise lots of social activities (many though which you need to pay additional fees for). The manager of the hostel can come across quite unfriendly at times which I think affects the overall vibe.
