In north Negril, you'll find Seven Mile Beach, which is often said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world – perfect if you're seeking lazy days on the sands. It's lined with bars and restaurants for taking time out with views of the Caribbean Sea. To the southwest is the West End, which has a peaceful hippy vibe. Whether it was whalers or pirates that gave Bloody Bay its name, the water now runs jade rather than red, and it's the best spot to go diving in the area. 

Get the adrenaline pumping with Negril's adventurous attractions, like Kool Runnings Adventure Park. It's got rollercoasters, water slides, paintballing and go-karting to keep you entertained. You can scuba dive or snorkel in the clear waters and watch the abundant marine life go by. The Royal Palm Reserve is officially 'closed', but visitors are welcome if you call ahead to book a tour (you'll need to pay the guide). You'll discover wild jungle and hundreds of species of birds and insects.

Negril town, the beaches and the West End are walkable in themselves, but to get between them, you'll need to take a minibus or a taxi. Agree the rate before getting in a taxi (usually around $5). If you're flying into Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, booking a private minivan or hiring a car are the cheapest ways to make the 2-hour drive to Negril.
