About

Welcome to SOMOS. We are a contemporary refuge enclosed by wild landscapes that allows for infinite exploration, an outpost built to foster a sense of freedom through our offerings. Designed to cover all the bases, we're a place where rest and play combines with the best of life; surfing, custom motorcycles, expedition tours, food and beverage, apparel and lodging. Together they entangle the senses, jolt the heart, and reward the soul.

SOMOS is a place where the global adrenaline seekers, artists, builders, and adventurers come together to share a common goal. It's a destination for the few who can appreciate its true value of discovery; insatiable explorers who want to be part of something radical, something that satisfies all senses.

Everyone has a story to tell: this is the place to spark conversation and create lifelong bonds. The goal is life; ride bumps, get bruises, strike laughter. Reconnect with what was thought to be lost. Foster new relationships. Nourish yourself.

Be happy.

Comfortable beds, staff is very responsive and available. My particular room (6) was a bit less private; it was facing the shower that people would go to after the beach. My bed also shared a wall with an external bathroom that they were noisily building at 7 AM. It did not have wifi and was directly behind the coffee shop which was noisy. Otherwise, the other rooms seemed fine. It is 'luxury' ; taxi rides/yoga classes will be much more expensive than what is around. Not the most social.

One of the nicest hostels around—great accommodations, super friendly staff, comfy beds, and lots of space in the dorms. They host fun nights with live bands and DJs. The restaurant is tasty, but portions feel small for the price. The main downside is the kitchen: the fridge is always packed, and a few new pans and knives would help. Overall, still a great stay.

My stay was an amazing experience! All of the staff were a great help, especially Rocio who went out of her way to give suggestions for activities and displayed great patience with all my questions. The food at the hostel is delicious and the hostel kitchen for the guests has plenty of items to make your own meals. The live music events were amazing and it is the place to be even in the low season. Me and my friends will be back!
