We are in Utila is one of the Bay Islands of Honduras, in the Caribbean, north of the mainland. It’s known for its coral reefs and many dive sites. The Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center studies this large fish species found in the surrounding waters.

We have an onsite bar and restaurant, beautiful social areas with hammocks, deck, beachfront, book exchange, tours, games, laundry service, Wi-Fi throughout, security cameras. Book a room with AC!! The dorm with a fan is soooo hot, also it isn’t in a proper room it’s just in an open space so people walk through your ‘room’ - defo book AC. Great location, Pink Flamingo cafe is great too

The beds are comfy, but there are no curtains the non-air conditioned room is in an open area with no door for privacy. I ended up leaving sooner because they have been getting broken into by locals at night.

Cash only accepted when their listing clearly states credit card. I was told when they did accept card, they charged a 19% service fee - ridiculous! Upon paying cash, they charge you 25 lempiras to the usd so they are taking a cut. Seemed very scammer like to me. AC in the room is on from only 9pm-7am - shocking giving how much extra I paid to be in an AC room with 7 other people. Also, reception workers are no where to be found throughout your stay.
