Summary of traveller reviews

The Botanic Hostel in Zaragoza offers clean, modern capsules with good privacy. While the location is central, the surrounding neighbourhood is frequently described as unsafe, especially at night. Many guests note the lack of physical reception and the inconvenience of automated lights in rooms. It's best suited for travellers prioritizing a clean, private stay over a social atmosphere.

My friend and I arrived at approximately 8:00 PM but decided to leave within about 20 minutes and find alternative accommodation. While I understood that I had booked a mixed dorm, I was uncomfortable when an older male guest changed clothes openly in the room in front of other occupants. The surrounding area and overall atmosphere did not make me feel particularly comfortable, and I did not get the friendly, welcoming traveler vibe that I have experienced at other hostels as a female traveler

The hostel is in a really sketchy neighbourhood. I would not stay out there longer than absolutely necessary. The light in the room is annoying and the shower is right in the room, so if you need to get up and shower early, you wake up everyone in the room. Otherwise clean, no stove in the kitchen though.

Wonderful staff, but its unfortunately a problem in Spain where they must accept anyone who makes a booking because they dont want to be accused of “discrimination”. So as a solo female traveler then i am stuck in rooms with scary perverted smelly men staring at my body and making me uncomfortable and they smell and they dont speak Spanish or English and are not staying at hostels to make friends and explore the city.
