Welcome to 1948 Hostel and thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are a small-run family operation that opened in January 2022. 1948 is a laid-back travelers hub with comfortable amenities. Located in the main heart of the old town at the Tha Phae Gate entrance, surrounded by many local cafes, restaurants, and shops. A friendly atmosphere and culture, combined with helpful locals make this a great place to relax. 1948 welcomes all and encourages you to embrace the Thai sprite.
4 rooms, 20 individual bunk beds, across 2 floors are built into the walls for complete privacy with blackout curtains. Pillow, blanket, and towel are provided. 220v charging station in each bunk with reading light built into the shelf. Storage behind the bed for bags and extra lockers located in the hallway. All rooms have central A/C and auto-lock doors. Shared showers and toilets have rails and hooks for personal belongings. The sink and mirror area are stocked with small items and soap. Free AIS Fiber WiFi throughout the hostel and 24 Hr CCTV for extra security. Larger communal areas for socializing or relaxing. Rest assured our staff is here to help and make staying in Chiang Mai the most enjoyable.

If you will arrive at the hostel before 8:00 or after 20:00, please let us know in advance.
4) Payment on Arrival: Cash
5) Cancellation or amendment must be made 2 days in advance prior to arrival.
6) Breakfast is not included and no kitchen, sorry.
7) NO smoking in Hostel.
