Remanso Beach is the premier surf break for beginner and intermediate surfers in the San Juan Del Sur area.

San Juan doesn't have a surf break of it's own in town, so the San Juan surf schools truck their students to Remanso every day. Why not just stay here and surf before the crowds arrive? Then take a relaxed late afternoon surf after they leave?

Casa Maya is a bright new eco surf lodge, steps away from one of the most consistent waves in Central America with 12 clean bright new private rooms, a small dorm, a well fitted clean shared kitchen, and 200 Mbps super fast Wifi.

Awake to Yoga on the Skydeck with cool breezes and luscious forest and ocean views. Take a beautiful 30 minute coastal hike to Tamarindo Beach for zero line-up soul surfing in the morning, hike 30 mins on to beautiful Hermosa beach, have lunch at their restaurant, surf Hermosa, then hike back through gorgeous sunsets to Casa Maya for drinks and dinner.

Payment:

- Standard rate bookings are paid at check-in by cash, credit cards or debit cards.
- Non-refundable rate bookings are charged to the guest's credit card immediately at booking.

Cancellation:

- Standard rate bookings: Free cancelation until 14 days before arrival. Cancellations and no-shows made beyond that time will result in a charge of 100% fee plus tax.
- Non-refundable rate bookings: No free cancelation.

Access to Remanso beach is by taxi ($10-15 for 1-4 people) or surf shuttle ($3 per person) - text for details using number provided after booking. If you arrive early we recommend they drop you at the beach restaurants that have good food, drinks, wifi and views of the waves and surfers - then at 3pm walk 2 mins to Casa Maya. We can arrange door-to-door Airport or Border taxis for you, ready for your arrival.

There are no grocery stores in Remanso, so if you plan on cooking your own meals, we recommend buying groceries enroute in San Juan. If you arrive early with food, you can store it in the fridge, space available. Due to it's beach location, we recommend stays of at least 3 days in order to relax into the full experience and enjoy the surrounding beautiful beaches a short hike away. At check-in, all guests must present a passport (international guests) or government photo ID (domestic), and a valid credit card. A security deposit will be authorized on the card as a hold only, which shall be voided in full at check-out less any charges. The amount varies on room type and duration of stay. If a credit card doesn't work, cash is acceptable.

According to seasonality and/or demand, a pre-payment of 50% to 100% of the total booking amount might be required for Standard bookings. The hotel will try to contact the guest and if a reply with payment possibility is not received, the booking could be cancelled. For reservations of more than 12 people, special, group-exclusive policies may apply, different from these reservation policies.
