Hanoi EcoStay 2 Hostel is a cozy and peaceful hostel for travelers though located in the very heart of Hanoi Old Quarter. Just several steps, you can hang out at the vibrant and bustling Ta Hien street or wander around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake. Convenient stores, shops, markets, restaurants, bus stop and bars are within easy reach.

The hostel offers female dorm, mixed dorms and double dorm. Every dorm room at our hostel has air conditioners, private lockers and some have desks and chairs. The beds are spacious with highly soft mattresses, fitted sheets, blankets and pillows. Private light, curtain, sockets, an wooden safe and attached hooks are equipped for each bed. The hostel has shared but separated male and female bathrooms with showers and toilets (shampoo, bath gel and toiletries are provided for free). It also has a beautiful rooftop with very comfortable sitting space for the open air.

The hostel is in a great location and is cheap. But the bathrooms are located on the 3rd floor so you have to travel up/down from your dorm. Theres no lift so only stairs up to your floor. The rooms were grubby and there was a musty smell in ours. The bathrooms weren’t very clean either and awkward with shower and toilet being separate. If you’re looking for cheap accommodation in a good location this is fine but I think for slightly more money you could get something nicer.

definitely worth the price, lots of stairs but has a cool luggage elevator. staff was nice. probably wouldn’t stay there longer than one night but not bad at all.
