About

Madre Tierra Hostal is located between the local neighborhood, Centro, and a touristic neighborhood, Rinconada. We are a short walk (10- 5 minutes) from beautiful beaches, including Carrizalillo and Manzanillo. Across the street from the hostel is the municipal esplanade (main square) where you can learn about culture and folklore during regional festivals and celebrations. Behind the hostel, is a lively local school. At times you will hear school children playing, singing or dancing.

Staying at Madre Tierra: Regional artifacts, crafts and murals line the hostel walls supporting regional commerce. The hostell is nature inspired with beautiful wooden details and plants throughout the hostel.

We promote respect, kindness and community. We strive to be ecologically friendly. This is not a party hostel!

This hostel is for young respectful groups and solo travelers.

I loved the privacy in the female dorm I stayed in, and all the storage space. I wish there were more hooks in the room to hang up wet towels and bathing suits.Bathrooms were okay. They also really needed hooks or shelves for clothes/towels. One of the shower heads leaked terribly/shot water out the side. One bathroom never had toilet paper. The kitchen was terrible. The coffee machine doesn't work. No lids for pots/pans. Knives were dull. Fridge was full/dirty.

Prime location perfectly situated between the big supermarket (Chedraui) and the beaches. The rooms are clean. the showers have hot water. The terrace is connected to the kitchen, which offers a lovely spot to enjoy your meals while watching the sunset. It’s an ideal hostel for remote working and definitely a chill place with good vibes.
