A Hostel with Heart & History

Founded in 2015, Seconds began with just one bed and a dream. During the 2020 lockdown, while many hostels turned travelers away, Seconds opened its doors to 26 stranded guests on a pay-what-you-can basis—sometimes even lending money—so no one was left without a home.

What followed was simply good karma.

A near-miss, a world-record skater racing to catch Sri Lanka’s famous train, and a moment decided by seconds. The boy met the girl, and together they poured their hearts into growing Seconds—day by day, detail by detail.
