About

Discover your new connected hideaway at Néctar located in Puerto Escondido. We are a hostel-hotel hybrid and cultural hub just minutes from the beach and nightlife in La Punta. An upscale yet unpretentious retreat for digital nomads, creative couples, and small groups, our thoughtfully designed and artistic atmosphere attracts an eclectic mix of locals and visitors from cities around the world.
With private and shared rooms accessible at a range of prices, we welcome all... well, anyone over eighteen (sorry, no kids). We offer amenities allowing guests to relax, stay engaged, and be productive – while our rooftop bar, restaurant, and exciting events keep things fun, festive, and social.
Loosen up in our swimming pool and rooftop Jacuzzis, or stay active with organized activities and mind-body classes. With an eye on art, food, and culture, we help guests discover new things while they stay in style. Our satellite broadband internet makes staying connected to the world and work easy. We also offer excursion planning, bikes to get around, a hotel shop with all the essentials, allowing guests to stay all day with everything they need or empowering them to get out and explore all Puerto Escondido has to offer.

Please note that our two rooftop jacuzzis are not heated, as its already very warm year-round in Puerto Escondido. Additionally, the hot water is only available in our private rooms, not in our dorm rooms. The 'cold' water is supplied from roof-top tanks and is usually pretty warm already.

Summary of traveller reviews

Néctar in Puerto Escondido offers a tranquil, boutique-style stay with friendly staff and a convenient on-site cafe. Guests appreciate the clean rooms, comfortable beds, and good Wi-Fi, making it ideal for remote workers. While some find the location a bit of a walk from the beach and main areas, and occasional power outages occur, the beautiful pool and jacuzzi areas are highlights. It suits travellers seeking a relaxed atmosphere over a social scene.

The facilities are great! I also liked the onsite restaurant. A little bit out of the main La Punta area but manageable to walk. I didn’t find it super social at the hostel but ended up meeting people in town who were also staying there.

I loved nectar & puerto Escondido. I went for a 4 day solo trip and booked a private room. The staff were extremely accommodating and even still let me use the facilities past check out since I had a late flight. The environment is social around the time the bar opens. People are by the pool & bar talking. Around 11pm everything was quiet. The cafe is also very convenient if ur lazy. It’s not crazy far from the beach as long as you don’t go during peak sun and the uphill walk can be tough though
