Hostel Nomad Gärdet is a premium hostel for backpackers and travelers. Your quiet, comfortable oasis, just a step away from the city buzz.

The hostel was just renovated in the Scandinavian nomad design style theme, so everything is brand new and fresh.

Each room has a private bathroom.

Reception working hours: Our reception is open every day 15:00 - 22:00 O'clock.

LATE ARRIVAL: You are welcome to your room at any time after 15:00, even after our reception working hours (after 22:00)!,  Just use entrance link or codes!

You can have an early check-in which starts from 12:00 PM and is charged 100 SEK per guest for Dorm rooms. For the Private Rooms the early check-in fee is 200 SEK.

Online Reception working hours: Our Online Office is open 24/7, every day of the week, ready to assist you anytime.

All the beds come with privacy curtains, shelve, lamp and electrical plugs.

The hostel is perfect for groups large and small, with a nice mix of 6-bed and private and family rooms.

**Location**

If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable oasis just outside the immediate city center, but still quite central and close to everything, then this is the place for you.

Hostel is in Gärdet which is considered a very nice, quiet, upper class family neighborhood close to the city center.

Right next to the hostel is Gärdets sportfält which is a large field where festivals and different events are held the whole summer. The field has football and American football fields, and on the field, just outside the door to the hostel, there is the largest beach volleyball area in Stockholm with several beach volleyball courts, a street basketball court, big outdoors gym and the outdoors bath Kampementsbadet.

There are a lot of nice restaurants and bars in the area.

The hostel is 20-25 minutes’ walk from Djurgården, kings island that holds many of the famous sites of Stockholm, such as the amusement park Gröna Lund, Skansen - the world’s only open-air museum with wild animals, beautiful walkways, parks, restaurants, bars and lots of Museums including the famous Vasa-museum, ABBA-museum and many more.

The harbor with the famous Siljaline “finlandsfärjan” cruise ships that take you to Finland or Baltic countries and back, is 10 minutes’ walk from the hostel. Those cruise ships are famous for their cheap duty-free liqueur and crazy parties in the boat bars and cabins.

The Netflix show “love is blind Sweden” is filmed on Gärdet.

**Transportation**

It takes 10-15 minutes to get to any central part of Stockholm by bus or subway that go every 5-8 minutes, 24/7, every day of the week.

The bus line no. 1 that goes through all the central parts of Stockholm, stops just infront of the hostel.

Gärdet subway station is 8 minutes’ walk from the hostel and from there its 3 stops or 6 minutes to the central station.

You can also get anywhere by 25-35 minutes of walking.

We recommend however that you rent one of the numerous electrical scooters that are lying around the hostel and use them to get anywhere and explore and sight see the city.

It takes 10-minutes to get to the central Stockholm with an electrical scooter and the closest way is over Strandvägen which is considered one of the nicest waterfront walkways in Stockholm, so you have a beautiful scenery along the way.

Please note that all guests who are clearly intoxicated, acting aggressive, are above the age limit of 40 or do not in any other aspect fit within a youth hostel, as well as anyone whose behavior may disrupt the enjoyable and safe environment for other guests , will not be allowed to use the reservation and will be asked to leave the hostel.

NO SHOE POLICY: Our hostel has a no shoe policy and guests can't wear their outdoor shoes inside the hostel. When you enter the hostel please leave your shoes in the provided cabinet, take the slippers and wear them. A 100 SEK fee applies if you break this rule.

If a guest chooses to leave before the scheduled check-out date without canceling through the booking platform, the reservation remains valid in the system. Early departures are considered voluntary cancellations for operational purposes, and the room may be released after 24 hours. Refunds or payment terms follow the platform’s cancellation policy.
