Come and stay at Southern Laughter!

As one of the most popular properties in Queenstown we offer a great stay in a great location and it's just a short walk to all the attractions, bars, shops and restaurants.

Enjoy free off-street parking (Limited), free luggage storage, and drinks discounts all around town just for staying with us.

All of our rooms come fully made up with linen and duvets, and most of the dorms include en-suites. We also have two big kitchens and TV lounges to relax in (free DVDs available), free unlimited WIFI, and two sunny BBQ decks with amazing views of the Remarkables mountain range.


When you make a booking with us, you must supply a Visa/Mastercard to secure your reservation. We shall process the full amount due for your booking within 48 hours of your arrival, please ensure that there is enough money in the account. If the payment declines, you have until 2pm of the day of your reservation to make full payment, otherwise your reservation may be cancelled. We can also accept cash payments but these must be made within office hours (9am-5pm). Please note we have a 48 hour cancellation policy. The minimum age for guests is 18 years, hostel staff may accept bookings for under 18s at their discretion.

A grim hostel, couldn’t wait to leave. Kitchen was disgusting I couldn’t bring myself to make any food. Pillow was so flat there might aswell not have been one. I liked the Irish guy at reception though
