About

Why would you book here? It is in an old building. A hundred years plus. Do you mind a bit of dust and the odd spiderweb? Who would go there? We have old fashioned showers with fabric shower curtains. We have ancient beds that creek with age. Some mother wrote her kids hight on the side of the dresser and dated it 1906. The kitchen has no microwave. We have no espressor machine. You have to use a magnetic hotplate yo cook your eggs and a drip coffeemaker for your coffee. We have only 8teas in our selection. It is horrid. Just think of it only 8 teas. Can you cope?
We reuse our sheets from year to year until they get yorn or stained. We have feather filled pillows and quilts. The owner made one or two of the quilts herself. Forbid!
They even have 2 kittens and a 5year old grandson. Little brat knows 2 languages. For all the cheek!
On top of all that they are located so close to the central railway station that you could spit that far.
Please do not let the all you can eat pancake breakfast fool you. They include jam, bread, fruit and tea and coffee.
I really dont know why people keep on coming.

They have been warned.

A very good location if you prefer something really close to the main train station. The building is an old villa having its own peculiar atmosphere. Recomended to those who seeks something different than the usual hostels. The owners are nice, open for some chitchat, and they offer breakfast too for a good prize.

It was really hot outside but the house was cool and inviting. Our hostess offered us a glass of cold homemade ice tea while she did our paperwork. Great after a crazy journey. The dorm room was quaint with 2 single beds. No bunks and stuff to climb on. The bathroom was basic but clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Eco friendly solar heated water was a plus. Bucharest was a very busy city and walking in the city centre at night was an interesting study in people and old buildings.

It had everything I needed: a hot shower, a clean be and free WiFi. I came from the Flixbus from Sophia and got there early morning. The host was cordial and got me a bed although it was before check-in time. Breakfast was hot pancakes and lots of plum syrup. With the coffee and cheeses it gave things a real local feel.
