My gratitude to Basri who took care of me during3days in his guesthouse.He wasnt only an amazing host&cook he's a friend who gives you all what he has&shows his genuine hospitality.Basri's home"Lucky house"is well located in a quiet village with a beautiful Nile's view from rooftop &some cute visitors as birds,lizards&cats.He made delicious bfast for free,lunch&dinner for a reasonable price.Everything with so much dedication.Very chill, peaceful vibes.Room was tidy.Highly recommended.thx Basri!

Very conveniently located in a charming village setting on the west bank where 90% of the historical sites are. The hostel was spotless clean every day; with all facilities that Westerners expect. Bashry is the 'one man show' in running the place. It is a labour of love for him - as he owns the place. He cooks a delicious breakfast (free) and can provide dinner as well if asked for. I've stayed in many hostels--One Love is my favorite in Egypt. Very quiet, peaceful. I love the view of the Nile from the rooftop terrace, watching the feluccas pass by. Basri, the owner, is the best part of One Love. He is attentive WITHOUT being overbearing--a very rare find in Egypt. He makes a gorgeous omelette breakfast everyday for free--honey, yogurt, jam, bread, banana, cheese, and nescafe, and different juices. Very clean hostel. He also gave me free transport many times on his moto.
