Emile Hostel

Pros: really nice and friendly staff, offered to help in anyway they can. Hostel is clean, front door is sometimes locked so security is ok. There are lockers available for a deposit. The cat is very friendly - best part! Good showers and bathrooms. Cons: No kitchen, not even cutlery, plates, microwave etc. No hand towels in the bathroom. WiFi is really slow in bedrooms, not good even in the common area. Can be loud during the day with the owners friends chatting and smoking outside.

I like this hostel. Contrary to what many reviewers suggest that the hostel should viewed, in their perception, as a 3*hotel, it is not! It is a hostel where people sleep in a communal space where they can socialise in a common area and not volunteer to become a battery hens isolated in individual rooms. The multiple occupencies spaces are well run there is area outside the main building where people can hang out. And set the word to rights! At least 10 restaurants 20 metre walking distance.

Nice people and staff, good location. 2 toilets and 2 showers for the whole hostel. The 2 available sinks for use were in the toilets meaning the toilets could be in use for 20-30 mins when people were getting ready for bed.
