A busy, French heavy hostel (don't expect much socialising) - dorms were a good size and clean. The attached agency is good for tours but charges 10% for using card (only place I've had this in 6 weeks in Brazil) I'd rather not know if you're going to add this fee on - just absorb it into the price. There were no working ATMs while I was there so the whole payment process was a bit stressful - doesn't take PayPal either.

Pros: Helpful and attentive staff, good atmosphere, conveniently located tour company, comfy beds. Cons: no protection against mosquitoes so I got bit a lot & breakfast felt overpriced.
