Carved into the hillside and facing the Yangtze River, Shancheng Lane is Chongqing’s only century-old urban trail named after the city’s 'Mountain City' identity, widely acclaimed as Chongqing’s most beautiful pedestrian path. The hostel is merely 20 meters from the Yangtze River Bridge viewing spot, putting sweeping river and bridge scenery right at your doorstep.
Transportation and daily amenities are exceptionally convenient: the property is steps from Metro Line 1 and Line 2, roughly 500 meters from Exit 5 of Jiaochangkou Metro Station, and a 15-minute walk from Jiefangbei CBD. The spacious 4th-floor common area, anchored by exposed red brick walls, features a sleek modern industrial aesthetic brimming with youthful energy. It hosts a coffee bar and craft beer taproom serving American coffee, original/vanilla/hazelnut lattes, mochas, and our viral signature Desti specialty coffee. Beyond drinks, you will find a National Geographic book corner, a curated collection of global travel artworks and souvenirs, a Mountain City-themed photography exhibition, and a private screening room. Sip coffee with a good book, or swap travel tales over a craft beer with fellow wanderers — this is the very spirit of youth and adventure.
Every Thursday at 16:00, we host our signature Mountain City Walk: a 1-hour guided stroll departing from the hostel, taking in Shancheng Trail, Shibati Traditional Scenic Area, Yangtze River Bridge Viewing Platform and more, for an immersive taste of Chongqing’s dramatic 8D landscape and rich Bayu culture.
