Owner was very concerned with keeping AC off as much as possible. To use the AC in the common room you had to pay using a paybox with coins. Every time I came back to the bedrooms the AC had been turned off and the bedrooms were very warm. Don’t think this is acceptable in the peak of summer in Japan. Also created an uncomfortable atmosphere of the owner always asking to turn it off. There are many more hostels on booking.com etc that are not on hostel world

This is a very nice place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay. My only issue is that the bed is very uncomfortable as it’s only a thin mattress on the wooden platform. Not the end of the world and I still enjoyed my stay but I would like to see thicker mattresses added! Otherwise 10/10!

I had a great stay and would absolutely stay again! Kishaba and his family are wonderful - they gave great recommendations! This is a relaxing, family-oriented stay, if you’re looking to party and drink late, I would suggest staying elsewhere.
