La Botella de Leche Hostel

Do not stay here. Apart from the general inadequacies of the hostel (poor dorms and cleanliness; lack of atmosphere), they overcharged me by double the amount. When I complained (and they realised they had also overcharged others), they said they would refund the initial amount in full and to pay again for the correct amount. After over a month, I have still not received a refund despite following up with them repeatedly. I have therefore paid 3x the amount I should have by now. Terrible!

I had a very bad experience at this hostel. I went to my bed at night and I realised they hadn’t changed the bedsheets, there were hairs, nasty stains and breadcrumbs. I communicated this when the reception opened next morning and asked for a refund of that night and the following night since I didn’t want to stay there anymore, I was disgusted. They admitted that they did not clean the bed “by mistake” but still refused to give me a refund because they said that’s against their policy.

La Bottella de Leche was a great place to stay in Tamarindo. The staff were super welcoming and friendly!!
