The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to the metro to go to the highlights of Beijing. Unfortunately my reservation did not come through correctly. Therefore my private room was not available and I had to share a room. The mattress was very thin, and not quite long enough. There were people smoking in the common areas (bathroom and hallway), even though it was a smoking-free hostel. It was noisy throughout the night. I was a bit disappointed.

the room was tiny, like a concrete box. There was no proper drainage in the bathroom. no one cleaned our room for 4 days, we had to empty our own bins. No windows, no fan, no temperature control, no kettle, no space(1.5meter square to live in). We reference the place as the den/cave when looking back on our stay. the only positive was that the staff were nice.
