This place is wonderful. It is welcoming and homely. If you want to walk on the Great Wall I highly recommend staying here. The food is delicious and there is a variety of dishes every night. I felt so well looked after. It’s very close to an entry point to the Great Wall and the hostel will advise you on the walking route where you can see both the unrestored and restored sections of the wall (worth seeing both). The town has convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance.
