I'm so glad I stayed at Golden Cage! I truly got to see another side to Denpasar away from the Bali tourist crowds. It's located in such an interesting heritage area and Martin is an incredible host. He gave me amazing food recommendations and was generally so kind and helpful! The nearby Puputan Badung Monument is fascinating and the surrounding park is so nice to walk around. The hostel facilities are neat and clean, the place has some nice balcony spaces to hang. Thanks Martin and good luck!

The host Martin is very nice and informative of the area, a bit hard to find as there are no signs out the front and the bed had a light that was t attached to anything that was just saying on my mattress and is movement censored and turns off every 30 seconds. There is AC but it doesn’t feel like it, it gets very hot and the noise from the road is very loud into late hours of the night. It does the job for a night before the airport tho.
