Golden Cage Heritage Hostel

Not well signposted although it is located in the heart of Denpasar. Owner is helpful in giving advice and direction. Poor vibe as I was the only guest. Somehow, tourists just do not stay in Denpasar but opt to focus in other places. No breakfast although I was sure it was mentioned otherwise during the booking. Nice hostel to stay for a night or two if you are visiting to nearby Sanur.

I loved this hostel! Perfect location next to the coolest things in Denpasar. Free water, coffee and tea. Very safe, clean and comfy beds. Martin, the owner is the coolest person you’ll ever find, full of funny stories, I really had a great time talking to him. Also he can suggest many places to eat and visit in Denpasar. 10/10 I will be back!

I'm so glad I stayed at Golden Cage! I truly got to see another side to Denpasar away from the Bali tourist crowds. It's located in such an interesting heritage area and Martin is an incredible host. He gave me amazing food recommendations and was generally so kind and helpful! The nearby Puputan Badung Monument is fascinating and the surrounding park is so nice to walk around. The hostel facilities are neat and clean, the place has some nice balcony spaces to hang. Thanks Martin and good luck!
