We are an independently owned and operated hostel tailored to the fun loving, social and budget constrained backpackers/travellers. We work to create an inclusive social environment that gives you a sense of home and family.
Our dorms are spacious and each have an en-suite bathroom. We have a wonderful full time cleaner who keeps our place clean and comfy.
The common room and Kitchen are open for all guests, and comfortable place to interact with other travellers.
Additionally, we have a bar on the ground floor where you get to interact with the local culture and have a general good time.
We are available all the time to help you with your travel plans and consultations on activities during your stay with us.

The reception works 24-hours.

Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 15:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 12:00 .

Payment is through card only.
Taxes included.

For any non refundable booking we request the balance to be send to us as soon as booking is done. we will contact you with a message and account details.

No curfew.

Mad Vervet Hostel i Addis Abeba tilbyr en flott atmosfære og vennlig, hjelpsom stab. Gjestene setter pris på den interessante arkitekturen og fellesområdene, noe som gjør det ideelt for soloreisende. It has potential, but the standards is not that good now. I stayed there for 1,5 week, two different rooms. Both were dirty, the blankets smelled sweat, and uncomfortable madrasses. Found a lot of hair. Sink and toilet did not work always, water all over the floor. Staff said it was clean, it wasn't. No water or electricity for days. Dirty kitchen, smelly fridge. Always dirty dishes. A dog who does not like people (bit one traveler). Smelled weed in the room from people smoking in the backyard.

Generally there was a really good atmosphere at this hostel and I got to know some very interesting people while I was there. The architecture of the building is also really interesting. The one drawback is that there could be more effort made towards engaging guests and providing them with information or support when they arrive, particularly by staff working on reception.

The good- It’s in a residential neighborhood and feels very safe. They help you with booking tours. I recommend that you use their pick up and drop off to the airport as ride share apps are not the best in Ethiopia. The bad- Sometimes it was hard to get a hold of the staff as no one is in the front desk even during the day. There is a WhatsApp number you can text but sometimes they reply quickly and sometimes it might be a few hours before you get a response. No hostel sign so hard to find
