I stayed there for 2 nights, and it was exactly what you want from a party/social hostel. Something happening everyday, social people, friendly staff and a lot of hangout spots. Mohammed and Barbara were super nice! Great hostel, would definitively recommend

A unique hostel in the coolest neighbourhood in Rio! Great social atmosphere with good people all around, however the castle is so big, so if you just want to chill out in your own space that is no problem. I was supposed to be here for 4 days, which turned into 18 days. Thanks to the great staff, volunteers and staff i had my best travel experience. People of the Castelo will be my family for ever
