This is probably one of the best/coolest experiences of my life. The hostel is beautiful, clean (and has japanese toilets!) The host lady was amazing and cooked delicious food for us. We ate 2 dinners, 1 lunch and 2 breakfasts at the hostel, and we payed around 500 yuan in total for 2 people. So worth it! The common area makes it easy to get in touch with others. Take her advice on where to go to the wall - we had an amazing trip there. Check the written directions so you know how to get here.

Most amazing hostel by the wall. Xiaowei is so lovely, cooks amazing vegetarian food and took very good care of us. The cats are adorable and so friendly. All the facilities are great - there are even japanese toilets and a huge tv in the common area. The hostel has a small cosy feel but is also very sociable with the few other guests staying there. One thing to note is that the railway to Gubeikou is currently undergoing maintenance, so you have to take a bus from beijing.
