Centrally located in Edinburgh's West End near the ancient and beautiful Dean Village and Water of Leith. Belford Hostel is a unique and lively converted church.
Our dormitory accommodation is located within the old church hall complete with stained glass windows! Dorm sizes range from 2-10.
It's a great place to relax and unwind after a hard days travelling or sightseeing, and an ideal spot to meet fellow travellers.

Every bed has a double power plug for your phones and computers
Free locker to use during your stay (provide own lock)
Every guest will receive a door key
Private double and twin rooms are also available
We offer a left luggage service on departure

No under 12's in our hostels under any circumstances.
All under 18's (no under 12's) must be booked into a room with an adult/guardian. They are not permitted to share dormitories with guests who are not part of their family/travel group and therefore all the beds in a room must be booked if you are travelling with anyone under 18 (no under 12's)
'Non-refundable bookings' will be charged within 24 hours of the booking being made and as stated, are non-refundable!
Special Events - Easter, Hogmanay, rugby weekends, etc - bookings will be charged 1 month in advance, and are non-refundable. If the card is declined, the booking will be cancelled.
Groups of 8 or more must contact our booking office before making the reservation - reservations@hoppo.com. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the booking. The deposit is not refundable.

Awesome place to stay! Even though it's off the beaten track, I would go back here again. The shared common space and kitchen were an awesome vibe, very lively and welcoming. I had a fun issue from a previous hostel to resolve, and the staff were amazing at helping me sort it all out.
Rooms were a bit cramped, and the bathrooms could have done with a touch-up clean later in the day, but overall a great experience!

Stayed in private twin room, bunk beds small . Room very small : shared bathroom
Cleanliness okay , can smell everything from other bathrooms . Bed outdated with nails coming out of frame .
Common room spacious but as expected very loud tenants / workers.
Room keys need to be updated as you can hear every turn of the key . Spent roughly 100 pounds for one night . Nice location , beside dean village however 15-20 min drive walk to restaurants and shops.
