This HI hostel is situated east of the centre in a typical Amsterdam neighbourhood. The city's must-see attractions are a fifteen-minute cycle or tram trip away. The tram stops only 200m from here, putting us just 10 minutes from Rembrandt Square.

You can take a tour of the canals by boat, visit world-famous museums or head off shopping along the colorful Kalverstraat - and there's always plenty to do at the hostel in the evening!

We?re housed in an amazing building, a former school dating from around 1900. This enables visitors to enjoy the ultra-modern facilities in classical settings.

The bedrooms are all spacious and feature private sanitary facilities. All rooms are designed by the famous Dutch designer Edward van Vliet.

Our hostel also has its own cafe/restaurant and is sharing the building with a cinema and theatre - a truly fantastic entertainment combination!

Bicycle rental is available at the reception.

Very clean! Very friendly and helpful staff! Comfy beds with large and safe storage space in the 8 bed dorm. The common area was very chill, and the whole hostel feels very modern and well kept. You’re not allowed to bring any food into the hostel, so depending on the kind of traveling you’re doing that can be a problem. The hostel is located a but further out, however, the very useful tram line number 14 passes right by, and public transport tickets are not very expensive at all.

Was staying here over the weekend to attend the awakenings festival. So the location was a bit to far away, but would recommend when visiting Amsterdam in general! Super clean hostel.

Great standard hostel, very comfortable. The breakfast was okay, you could do your laundry fairly cheap, the rooms were clean. The common room was something they had put time into making a good atmosphere, very big and a lot of different settings with a little bar/café. Baggage room if you are coming in early or need somewhere to put your stuff after checking out. Separate bathroom, one toilet and one shower with the sink outside inside the actual room.

Hostelworld säger

Hostelworld-gäster jämför ofta Stayokay Amsterdam Oost (Zeeburg) med ett hotell och säger att det är rymligt och rent och serverar en mycket berömd frukost med "ägg, ost, skinka, färskpressad apelsin-/äppeljuice" och mer. Besökare berättar att vandrarhemmet "har utmärkta spårvagns- och bussförbindelser och alla huvudattraktioner ligger på samma spårvagnslinje", vilket säger att det är cirka 10 minuter med spårvagn från Amsterdams centrum. Vi gillar att det finns en läslampa och eluttag vid varje sovsal, med inredning som har beskrivits som "vacker och modern och...väl omhändertagen".
