This HI hostel is situated east of the centre in a typical Amsterdam neighbourhood. The city's must-see attractions are a fifteen-minute cycle or tram trip away. The tram stops only 200m from here, putting us just 10 minutes from Rembrandt Square.
You can take a tour of the canals by boat, visit world-famous museums or head off shopping along the colorful Kalverstraat - and there's always plenty to do at the hostel in the evening!
We?re housed in an amazing building, a former school dating from around 1900. This enables visitors to enjoy the ultra-modern facilities in classical settings.
The bedrooms are all spacious and feature private sanitary facilities. All rooms are designed by the famous Dutch designer Edward van Vliet.
Our hostel also has its own cafe/restaurant and is sharing the building with a cinema and theatre - a truly fantastic entertainment combination!
Bicycle rental is available at the reception.

Hostelworld-gjester sammenligner ofte Stayokay Amsterdam Oost (Zeeburg) med et hotell, og sier at det er romslig og rent og serverer en veldig høyt rost frokost med "egg, ost, skinke, ferskpresset appelsin-/eplejuice" og mer. Besøkende forteller oss at vandrerhjemmet "har utmerkede trikk- og bussforbindelser, og alle hovedattraksjonene er på samme trikkelinje", og sier det omtrent 10 minutter med trikk fra sentrum av Amsterdam. Vi liker at det er et leselys og en stikkontakt ved hver sovesal, med innredning som er blitt beskrevet som "vakker og moderne og ... godt tatt vare på".
