It's located in the midde of nowhere, but the hostel is well run has great staff that really help you out in planning your trip to the huangshan mountains and offer to make you a oicknick lunch to a good price. Nice bar but no ppl where there when I stayed there. The reason for going here is of course the mountains and the hostel is situated in the direction of the mountain, so why not stay here. I'd recommend it. If you come to see the CITY, stay somewhere else. Rooms are great.

While I believe it caters more to Chinese travelers, this hostel was very welcoming to westerners. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and it was a pleasure getting to chat with them. They helped me figure out my route for Huangshan and gave recommendations for the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the “no smoking” policy isn’t enforced at all (typical for China), but when I entered my dorm to find ash trays and cigarettes all over the floor, the staff were quick to find me another room.
