ended up leaving a few hours after we checked in. no refund given. the man working reception was nice but must have been new because he was very slow. had zero issues with this - i get it. we quickly realised the photos must be from long ago and the hostel has fallen into a state of disrepair. the pool wasn't working and was bright green. there is no cafe, no common areas, and the kitchen and pool area was dirty. the man in our dorm was local & long term. not nice to share a room with.

The staff is very nice, but I was a bit worried about the whole security level. The entrance door is open all day and the rooms of the dorms are too. So if there wasn’t someone at reception, anybody from outside could just walk in until my dormitory… Nothing ever happened, but just saying. And for the whole time I was there the bathroom floor was covered with dirt water. :/ But the staff was nice and helpful and it’s cool that they have a kitchen and a rooftop!

If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay in a good location, this place will do. The only thing is, the dorm door is left open (not just closed without a lock, literally propped open) 24/7… got eaten alive by mosquitos and definitely didn’t feel that safe as a solo female traveler because of this. However, it’s a cheap place to sleep, the staff are really kind, and let me switch beds because the fan in my 1st bed didn’t work. Wouldn’t stay here again though.
